Quartz is the name given to crystalline rock composed of silicone dioxide.  There are many varieties of quartz and their characteristics are almost unlimited.  Here, the colours used are shades of lilac, green and turquoise.  Rose carved bone beads are used as Pater beads and along with silver and quartz and crystal, this makes up our rainbow quartz rosary.
